What is the UF Eventing Team?
UF Eventing is a club sport within UF Equestrian. We compete as a team at several USEA Intercollegiate events, including championships at the end of the school year
Do I need my own horse?
Yes, all UF Eventing Team members who are wanting to compete should have their own horse or a lease horse. If you are interested in joining but don’t currently own a horse, contact us and we can try to help! We accept eventers of all levels or those wanting to try!
Where do I board my horse?
You are allowed to board and train with anyone, although most of our riders board and train with the official UF Eventing Coach, Michelle Mercier. Her barn is 25 minutes south of campus and offers a great atmosphere for college students.
Can I join without competing currently?
YES! Many members choose to not compete, but are welcome to come to horse shows and help in other capacities. We are welcoming of riders with any experience level!
